The short version
LotoPowerball.com earns affiliate commissions. When you click certain links on our site and sign up or make purchases at our partner platforms, we may receive a commission — at no additional cost to you. This funding model lets us keep the site free and ad-light. We only recommend platforms we believe genuinely serve players well.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a special URL that contains a tracking code unique to LotoPowerball. When you click such a link and complete an action on the destination site — like creating an account or buying a Powerball ticket — the destination site can identify that you came from us and may pay us a commission.
The price you pay is identical whether you arrive via our link or directly. Affiliate commissions are paid by the partner, not by you.
Which links are affiliate links?
The following platforms have affiliate relationships with LotoPowerball as of the date of this page:
- TheLotter — lottery ticket courier
- Lottoland — UK-licensed lottery betting platform
- LottoKings — syndicate and ticket purchase platform
We may add or remove partners over time. The most current list will always be reflected on the Where to Play page.
How we choose partners
We do not accept affiliate partnerships indiscriminately. Before linking to any platform, we verify:
- Active gambling license from a recognized regulator (UK Gambling Commission, Malta Gaming Authority, US state lottery, or equivalent)
- Multi-year track record of paying winners reliably
- Clear terms of service and transparent fee structures
- Reasonable player feedback across independent review sources
- Standard security practices (SSL, secure payments, data protection)
Many platforms that have offered us affiliate partnerships have been declined because they did not meet these criteria.
Our editorial independence
Affiliate relationships do not buy positive coverage. Specifically:
- Partners cannot pay to improve their ranking or rating on our site
- Partners cannot pay to remove negative information
- Reviews and rankings are based on our independent evaluation
- We may include non-affiliate platforms in coverage when relevant
- If a partner's quality declines, we will adjust our coverage or remove them
We retain full editorial control over what we publish.
How affiliate links are marked
Per FTC guidance, we identify affiliate relationships in several ways:
- This dedicated disclosure page (linked from every page footer)
- An affiliate disclosure notice on the Where to Play page and homepage where affiliate links appear
- Affiliate links carry tracking parameters that may be visible in the URL
You can always check whether a link is affiliate by hovering over it and examining the destination URL.
Other revenue sources
In addition to affiliate commissions, LotoPowerball may display:
- Display advertising via Google AdSense or similar networks. These ads are clearly labeled as "Advertisement"
- Sponsored content, if any — clearly labeled as "Sponsored" and editorially independent
We do not currently sell user data or run email marketing campaigns.
